The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centers. Well-known for its M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it's also a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city center hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping center, and behind that is Digbeth Bus Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Center) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just across the street is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modeled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top soccer clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

An exciting and very friendly place to go anytime of the year. New Street Station is easy to travel to and connect from. The large Wetherspoon's at New Street Station is the definite place to go for a meal and a pre or post train journey drink and it is usually always busy because it is so popular.

I've lived in Birmingham most of my life but moved to Wales last year. Its ok to visit but not to live there. As the crime rate has shot up. Its now very expensive to live there. I'm glad to be out of it.

Birmingham is a busy and growing city with a lot of development going on. But there are great museums, a sea life centre, Legoland, a lot to see. The best thing is that it´s within a day's trip to Leicester, Coventry, Warwick, Stratford, and many more splendid places.

All bedsheets and duveys are so dirty, stinky and blood stain! The kitchen is full of mess and rubbish! The sitting area are full of chewing gums! The toilet bowl is full of poo! The sink a lot of hair!!!! A normal people cannot stay on that kind of place! Booking.com should give us a full refund!!!!which they never did!

Since building the tram ways into Birmingham is has made it safe for pedestrians but taken away the vibe the buzz of socialising and pushed it into down town Birmingham where the train station is. Watch your pockets get drained by over pricing your pocket, we were over charged for a meal by £30 they blamed it on the technology they were using.

Fantastic compact City, with everything you would need for a short stay. It was so easy to navigate and the bars, restaurants and hotel we experienced were top notch.
The canal area with it's lively restaurants is a real buzz, if you like that!
We came from Ireland and it really was a hop and a skip to get right to the centre of the City from our own doorstep.
I would highly recommend Birmingham for a visit if you like shopping, restaurants and very friendly people. We will be back!
Really clean and fresh hotel in Central Birmingham, near to everything in the city centre. Stayed on the hottest day of the year and appreciated the air con.
Family room comfortable for one night, may be tight on space if staying longer, bathroom was lovely. Had room on 17th floor (very top) but 3 lifts came regular. Breakfast was included with price and had everything you would want- cereal, hot food and continental.
Really enjoyed our stay and would look into other holiday inns for future adventures.
The hotel was in a good location for the city centre. Staff were friendly and always helped if I had a problem. Although there was no coffee faciilities in the rooms there was an option to pay a liittle more to buy at reception. There was a continental style breakfast every morning included in price. Over all I enjoyed my stay at the Ibis and when I am in Birmingham again I will be staying here. Thanks again to all the staff at the Ibis Budget. ++++
The hotel is very accessible and is at the centre of Birmingham city so it was very convenient when visiting the city centre. There is also a secured, underground parking which we really liked as it felt safe.
The hotel is affordable and came with free breakfast and free parking (until August 2021) for us.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. It is also dog friendly. Would visit again.
It is a nice place to stay in if you’re on a budget.
Really nice traditional hotel. Room was just fine and clean, nothing luxurious but everything that we needed with really comfy beds. Bathroom was OK and clean. Traditional English breakfast. There is a very nice restaurant/pub in the hotel with very good food, nice staff and local beer and cocktails. Good access to Birmingham city centre (bus stop just across a street, train station 5 minutes walk).
Excellent location, right in the heart of the city centre, clean and comfortable accommodation. The room was a decent size for 3 adults. It would've been good to have a little table and seat for getting ready to go out, but this in no way detracted from our stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone and will book again for my next Birmingham trip.
The hotel was clean, so comfortable and the staff were so lovely! the grounds in which they are also were amazing and with the beautiful weddings going on too, really made it such a beautiful place to stay. the parking was great and the location to get to the city centre and Cadbury world was great. we will stay here again next time we visit Birmingham.
First impressions were positive and checking in was pain-free with friendly and informative reception staff. The room was spacious, the bed was large and comfortable and it was all reasonably clean if a tad dusty. The hotel’s location is central making it very easy to access all the main amenities of Birmingham city centre.
We loved having the kitchen/living facilities, it made it a little home from home, especially having the kids with us. This was far more convenient than an ordinary hotel room. The staff were friendly and the facilities of drinks and snacks in the lobby were very useful.
I think that overall this is a really nice hotel, there are lot of good amenities as well as a 24 hour room service. Staff were friendly, every where was really clean. The hotel is right round the corner from Birmingham New Street too, which is perfect
I was in Birmingham for a conference at the ICC. This hotel was excellently located for this and for the rest of the city centre, including the Christmas market. It was very comfortable and had all the facilities you would expect for a business hotel.
The staff were lovely, professional and helpful. Loved the Rituals in the bathroom. Firm bed. Great Breakfast in a nice restaurant with really helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location for Birmingham City Centre.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Brum, very close to the main train station, and with large range of shops nearby. The actual room is almost the size of a studio flat, with a kitchen and spacious bathroom.
Lovely location, lovely staff, just a bit noisy at night- you're right next to a main road so the noise does seep through, otherwise a lovely hotel, perfect for an overnight stay in Birmingham
Good location, exceptionally helpful staff, great breakfast. Useful EV charger (expensive but that's not the fault of the hotel). Recently decorated. Bed was comfy enough.
Great location and excellent value for money.
Room was clean and the beds very comfortable. If I need accommodation in Birmingham again it will be my first choice
